Benalmádena
is situated between Malaga and Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol, just 15
minutes from Malaga International Airport. There are train links between
Malaga and Fuengirola via Benalmádena and the town hall is now
planning a monorail from Arroyo de la Miel to the Benalmádena Marina.
Benalmádena enjoys
a mild climate with a minimum temperature of 10 degrees on a cold winter
night to 35 degrees on an average August day. Benalmádena has seen
a tremendous growth as a tourist centre on the Costa del Sol with its
population growing from 30.000 inhabitants in the winter to nearly 100.000
in the summer months. It has always been a favourite charter destination
but Benalmádena is steadily moving towards catering for residential
tourists by upgrading its infrastructure and has successfully managed
to attract property developers to build high standard residential and
holiday homes.
Benalmádena has lots to offer; a
world-class golf course in Torrequebrada with a Casino nearby and one
of the most attractive Marinas on the Costa del Sol with excellent cuisine
